Certifications, Styles, Software and Service:
PBS Metadata Lead Certificate - A year-long cohort program learning how metadata drives discoverability. I learned how to gather the most important data and register it in places like IMDb, EIDR and Schema markup.
AP Style - I use this every day in all of our station communications. I first learned it in college and have used it since.
Adobe Creative Suite - I've used other programs but always find myself back with Adobe. I'm experienced in Premiere Pro, Photoshop and InDesign with slight knowledge of Illustrator and After Effects.
Production Equipment - I use a Zoom recorder for my audio stories and am also familiar with cameras, tripods, lights and more.
Hullabaloo U - I've been honored to serve as an instructor for Texas A&M's freshman success seminar class. Through this volunteer opportunity, I help students transition to college, making sure they feel known on a big campus.
HTML & CSS - To make our station website even better, I taught myself HTML, inline CSS and the tiniest bit of Javascript. I put these skills to work every day, tweaking and optimizing old and new webpages.
